Last Announcement

This is the last announcement for the semester:

1. Semester is over

2. There will be no more "Micro-teachings, Lesson Plans or Advisories"

3. You can stop by my office to check your final grade on the following days;

   Monday, June 10, from 8:00 to 9:45AM (only)

   Tuesday, June 11, from  8:00 to 9:45AM (only)

Micro-teachings Round 1 / General Information


 We will meet on Friday, May 31 in the classroom for Q and A, and for the advisory


General Information

1. Micro-teachings is 30 minutes long (20 minutes of feedback from teacher and peers)

2. 1 advisory is mandatory and part of the grade (every member of the group has to be present). Please, don´t drop by unexpectedely without an appoinment made before hand. Bring your lesson plan and the proposed materials to the advisory.

3. Lesson plan Model provided by the teacher

4. Attendance is mandatory for everyone in the group  (no exeptions), there will be 6 students posing as "real students" for the class.  This is part of the grade, absence will lower your grade for the micro-teaching. Absence will be treated according to UES Law.

5. Attire is part of the grade:

Ladies: dress, skirt or formal pants, formal blouse, high heel shoes, make-up

Gentlemen: formal trousers, long sleeved shirt, formal shoes, no funny hairstyles

NO SNEAKERS OR FADED-TORN JEANS!!!!!

6. If you need equipment (laptop, projector or CD player) please reserve with the teacher (come for pick up at least 10 minutes before the class)

7. Each group has to start the micro-teaching on time, if not, you will not have enough time to finish and this will affect your grade.

No class on Tuesday 9 / Information

I found out that the classroom used for  Japanese class is being used, so we still don´t have a classroom, I will continue searching and let you know as we come along.

New classroom rule:

In order to cope with the unavailability of classroom, I have decided to allow students to come late, once in a while, to class no more than 10 minutes to make good used of the limited time we have on Fridays.

Those who do not comply with this, will be asked to come the next class, so please be early on Friday´s class.

p.d. the the report will be collected on Tuesday as planned.

New classroom

I talked to Mr. Gamero and he says that we can use the classroom located on the second floor (the one used for Japanese class).

So, I will check, double check, to make sure it is completely and absolutely available. We will meet there next Tuesday, April 9.

Activities for the next two weeks


Today, eagerly, some of us came to the English lab, but unfortunately, it was busy. So, we are back to square one, we don´t have a classroom. I will continue looking, if you know of a place, let me know.

Homework for Easter Break

1. Read chapter 3 "Major Learning Paradigms in Education," completely ( there will be a reading check on Tuesday, April 2)

2. Start reading chapter 4 "Lesson Planning" we will start discussion on that topic on Tuesday, April 2.

Remember that the class is based on the discussion of your questions about the chapters.

Hi Everyone:

Mr. Gamero informed today that we can use the English Lab as a classroom, thanks God, so we will meet  there on Tuesdays starting the day we return from our break, Tuesday, April 2.

I want to apologize to you because I have a meeting on Friday and therefore there will be no class. I think we can take advantage of the time and use for the completion of the project "VIDEO," so the due date for the handing in of the project is Monday, March 18, you have to bring it to my office.
